Step 1 ≻ First of all, go to the e-filing website www.incometax.gov.in of income tax.
Step 2 ≻ After this, go to the link Aadhaar status option given below the quick link.
Step 3 ≻ Then, enter your PAN and Aadhaar number and click on the view link Aadhaar status option.
Step 4 ≻ Now, if your PAN is linked with Aadhaar, then It will be written that your PAN number is already linked to given Aadhaar number. PAN and Aadhaar numbers are included in the message.
How to Check via SMS
Step 1 ≻ Users will have to write 12-digit Aadhaar number> < 10-digit permanent account number> < UIDPAN and send an SMS to 567678 or 56161.
Step 2 ≻ If the linking has been done, then it will appear “Aadhaar… is already associated with PAN.

As per the Income Tax Act, 1961, for all PAN holders who do not fall under the exempt category. It is compulsory for all of them whose is not linked to link their PAN with Aadhaar before 31 March 2023. It said that from 1 April 2023, the unlinked PAN will become inoperative.
The Union Finance Ministry issued a notification in May 2017. It had said that the exempted category includes people who live in Assam, Jammu and Kashmir and Meghalaya. This category also includes those who are considered non-resident according to the Income Tax Act, 1961. Or people who are above 80 years of age and those who are not citizens of India.
If Pan is not linked with Aadhaar by this date, then it will be completely useless.
If you have not yet linked your PAN with Aadhaar, then get it done as soon as possible. This is because your PAN will be useless if you do not link. If PAN is not linked to Aadhaar, then it will not be of any use.
The Income Tax Department has issued an advisory in this regard on Friday. It has been said that by the end of March next year, permanent account numbers i.e. PAN that will not be linked to Aadhaar will be considered inoperative.
